All surfers - regardless of skill level - are welcome to join the Pacific Beach Surf Club and share the stoke and the spirit of aloha found abundently in the sport of surfing.

We hold monthly club meetings, occasional surf clinics, holiday parties, special events, surf trips, donate to local charities, and host two annual surf contests at Tourmaline Surfing Park:  The Summer Longboard Classic in June and the Tourmaline Club Challenge every fall as part of the Coalition of Surfing Clubs series. But being a member is so much more: camaraderie with the local surf community and a growing appreciation for the natural environment that provides us the waves that we love so much.

Surfers of all levels, both longboard and shortboard, are also encouraged to join our competition team and compete with us in the nine Coalition of Surfing Clubs contests held each year. The PBSC team has placed in the top 10 every year since joining the Coalition in 1998, including three very respectable third place finishes and two consecutive 5th place results in 2015 and '16.
