Nick DeRov and friends have a little fun down at the old surfing park while Les mans the beer garden. Featuring Ornette Coleman on sax and Brown Haired Girl on jump rope. Yeah, the video quality is sooo 1992. Whatever. It looks pretty bitchen on my InstaGram page with the Perpetua filter. Or was it Amaro? But I gotta say, iMovie HD still rocks pretty good on the old G4. Oh and one note about the soundtrack... I actually edited the footage together in basically its finished form and then added the tunes. All things considered, I think I got pretty lucky with the way the Ornette Coleman piece "Jordan" just pretty much slotted right in with the flow of the surfing. I did very little editing after the soundtrack was laid down, and I love how the drums break down right as Nick lands a floater, and the little smattering of applause as Jeremiah scoops up his lost stick. Seems like serendipity to me! There's more footage in the can, so if I get a little love for this one I might just make some more. I sure enjoy doing it!
